I like the OME lift. However I'm looking for a true 3" in front. Bullbar, winch, & full length skidplates are going to place a lot of weight on the front. Can I combine the OME with say a 1/2" spacer on top. Several venders are using top spacers with their lift kits. So, has anyone done this? Can it be done? Should I look at a different lift? W.E.'s are pretty spendy. This rig is moderately wheeled. Thanks.

Yes you can, and that's what I did. It's 1/2 inch and takes the front rake out. I used the OME 886 springs in front, now just waiting for a bumper. ToyTec will provide the whole package, with the 1/2 spacer. You will need to change the studs to allow for the spacer, but they are provided in the kit.

I just put the OME 886 and 896 springs in my truck. I am still waiting for my bumpers. I ended up with almost 4". I imagine it will sag a touch when I add the bumpers, and stuff, but not too much. Try the springs, and add the bumper, THEN decide if you want the spacers. You don't want to go too high. You might start having CV issues, and ball joint issues. ;)

Thanks for the feed back. I'll put the lift on & then add the spacers if needed.

I've got the 886/896 combo, with a bumper, winch and sid plates, and I probably 3" of lift. I have not done a rear bumper yet so still trim forward (altho less than stock), but I imagine when I add a rear bumper and fuel cans the truck'll sit level. See my thread here titled Expedition 1 Bumper Install for pics.

Blues Dawg; Great lookin rig. Same colour as ours. Thanks for the link.

x2 on the 886/896, but I have an ARB bumper and an M8000 winch. I am at 3.25" of lift in front. As a test, I installed the 1/2" spacer plate when I installed the 886 front springs and I immediately removed it and sent it back. The upper control arm (UCA) rubbed on the front of the spring at full droop. I was also concerned about having more then 3"-3.5" of lift and causing CV and ball joint problems. I would NOT suggest that you run the spacer with the 886's.
