Looking at ordering Slee spacers for the Hundy. I'm wondering about clearance though. I have 285/75 16 tires. Stock wheels, stock height. Will there be any scrub on the bumpercover at full lock?
Thanks in advance.

Interesting. So I'm gathering that there's a marginally greater amount of wear and tear on the front suspension, but not enough to be a major concern. Scrubbing is a maybe, maybe not.

IMO it really comes down to personal preference. I'm not a fan of spacers, but prefer to run aftermarket offset wheels. If you are one to stay on top of maintenance you should be fine. I would recommended to keep an eye on your lugs if you choose to run them though. From everything I've seen, the extra leverage from the spacer can and eventually will shear any worn or previously overstressed lugs.

I run spacer for snow chain clearance. That said, my advice is to mind the torque specs and check for looseness in the 1st several weeks. I had several nuts loosen up. To be fair this occurs occasionally when I take on and off the wheels. I'm sure it's my issue but you might experience it as well.

Mine rubs sometimes when entering driveways, very minor, stock height, slee spacer, SPC UCA, 285/75/16 duratrac.

I was definitely against the use of spacers back when I was more into performance-oriented street cars. I still believe that correct offset wheels offer superior performance to spacers. However, I have come to believe that there are fewer drawbacks to spacers for certain 4x4 applications. My opinion is that spacers have their place and function and are an efficient tool to solve certain simple problems.

I just installed Slee/Spidertrax spacers (front and rear) over the weekend because I prefer my OEM wheels to any of the aftermarket options I've seen. Running 285/75/16 BFG KO2. Stock suspension + TB crank + alignment. Also running front mud flaps. I think it looks great, but I can't vouch for the future maintenance needs since I'm pretty new to this product.

So far though, I did notice that the front tires just barely rub on the plastic inside edge of the mud flaps on 3/4 to full lock. More noticeable when suspension is articulating up my driveway. Doesn't rub anywhere else on my rig. I would imagine you would be OK as long as you don't run front mud flaps.

Personally, I want to keep the mud flaps so I plan to use a heat gun to mold back the plastic on the front mud flaps by a few millimeters.

Not sure if my situation is unique, but I did a bunch of MUD research before purchasing and had not heard of that happening to anyone else.

Well, took the plunge and got the 1 ½" spacers from Slee. After figuring out how the correctly mount the fronts, had all four on and tq'd, and rotated the tires at the same time.
So far I like em. Handling was an immediate and deffinant improvement. Tires are now almost flush to the body line, which looks good to me.
I get a little scrub when backing and making a hard right turn, otherwise haven't noticed anything. One of these weekends when I have some time (whatever that is) I wanna run it around broken arrow or smiley rock.

Sorry, no. I did it late at night and was just interested in getting them done. I might be able to when I get home, out of state at the moment.

no problem, I was in the market for 285's and some spacers for my no lift 2000lc.. still on the fence for 1.5" or 1.25" spacers...

Fronts will rub on the inner-fender plastic liner as others have stated. I drilled a small hole in the lower corner of the plastic and zip tied the liner back for clearance. Took all of 3 minutes and no rubbing.

If 4 spacers are $300 might as well get SCS wheels for ~600

Picking up FN Wheels Five Star 17x8 30mm later this week. Dustin at FN Wheels said 275/70R17 would fit my LX no problem and 285/70R17 would rub slightly. Would 285's and a heat gun to push in the liner fix all the rubbing? What about clearing snow chains? Thanks!
