not me, but somebody needed to tell them. maybe we should all start wtching for their ads and flagging them.
obviously a dealer will have markup to cover expenses, etc. but, southtown was amazingly overpriced when i was looking, even for a dealer. IIRC, they had the standard gold LX450 which was pretty beaten for over 10K and a cream CE with lockers that was also pretty worn for almost 12K. within 10 minutes, it was pretty obvious they weren't going to budge so i left. they are still in business, so someone must buy them.
I've never seen this guy's posts before but there is one in Western NC just like it that our club had to deal with. Not once did he ever bring a cruiser into our club. He had a full time crew accross the state that would pick up almost every land cruiser within minutes of being posted in Craigslist. Literally within minutes. We had guys in our group that had programs on their phone that would give them a message to any ad that popped up with the key words they had typed in it and they would still be gone before they could call on their next break. Then would mark them up a ton. Can't blame him as he must have sold a cruiser a week off of his lot and be making a ton but it pissed all of us off who wanted more people to join our group or for those of us in the group who wanted to pick up another cruiser but never could.
I live less than a mile from their lot, so if anyone needs me to check a rig out let me know.
If you search for land cruiser on bham craigslist all of their listings show up now. They must be putting it as a keyword in the ad. I flag every one of their ads as spam when I see them now.
