.....if anyone is heading down into the area, Lolo62 and I will be exploring Friday through Tuesday.

Plan on doing Comb Ridge south to north, then into Arch Canyon. Then off to the Blue Notch access to Lake Powell (probably). If it is too hot, probably up into the Henry's. If it is bearable, Cottonwood Canyon, to Beef Basin, to Lockhart Canyon and into Moab.

We'll be monitoring 146.46 on the 2M.

Drop a line if you are going to be in the area.

Best.

I'll be around the Dirty Devil area from Hanksville to Green River. Keep an eye out for a couple of 70 series.

...sadly enough, all we saw were a bunch of awesome "trail rated" jeeps  where were all of the Land Cruisers this weekend???? nevertheless, it was quite an epic journey...good times! thanks Beno!

Yeah, really wierd that we didn't see any cruisers at all on the trail.

We did Valley of the Gods, Arch Canyon, into the Manti-LaSals west of Monticello, down to Canyonlands/Lockhart, Moab, etc. and not one cruiser. :frown:

That said, it was indeed an epic trip--everything from ER room visits, to pulling a disabled Suburban in Arch Canyon, to rock climbing, sweet sunrises, great moon viewing, wide vistas, good food, and of course, great company.

As always--southern Utah always over delivers.

Pics soon.

We had a great adventure as well and sadly did not see any Cruisers either. We were in the Maze district and did 225 miles offroad. Saw 2 vehicles the entire weekend....both Jeeps. One Cherokee with Utah plates and 1 4 door owned by the US National Park system.

We had 3 vehicles in our group. 2 HZJ75's and 1 FJ60. The 75's each used 13 gallons of diesel and the 60 used........35 gallons of gasoline. Fortunately for me, I was buying diesel.
