Hi guys,

Here are the pertinents: The stuff below is located in South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150, USA. I will post them as gone once they sell, so unless stated otherwise, they are still available. Clean titles on both. I have enough to get them both running, one would be minus a hard top, hard doors, fenders and some misc little stuff. The other would be complete with all of that.

The not so important part: I inherited one of these, and bought the other to complete the inherited one.... I now realize that my daily driver is enough of a project for me and I'd like to get these to someone who will enjoy them. I prefer to sell them together, so maybe after some time has passed I will separate them. I won't sell individual parts, sorry but please don't ask.

So here is a little about the blue one: My dad bought it in 69 (i think) and proceeded to roll it just after buying it. It destroyed the hard top and doors, and damaged the rear drivers side of the tub (can be pretty easily fixed if you have the know-how). I have the clear title, and comes with 2 bikini tops, roll bar, a set of gray soft doors, original seats (frames are good, cushions and material are bad), the original F engine/3 speed on the tree (needs new fluids and a tune, but it will start up with minimal effort), and the original t-case is installed in the other cruiser. Comes with a clean title.

The white/brown one is in pretty nice shape. Has a hard top, hard doors, nice Chevy 350/Toyota 3 speed on the floor, and currently has the t-case from the other cruiser installed. I have another transfer case for it in storage, but I dont know if its ok (it came with this cruiser when I bought it and I never installed it.). I have a new Painless EZ wiring harness, box of new AutoMeter gauges, and more that will go with it. Clean title comes with it.

I have boxes and boxes of original parts (some are from the blue cruiser, some came with the white/brown one, and some others just seemed to magically accumulate over the last few years). I have radiators, transmissions, rock sliders, wheels, and so on.

I am looking for $4000 for all of the above.... That breaks down to 2k per cruiser. and a bunch of parts on top. I'm way open to trades, just not for more projects. Guns and cash preferred, but open to other stuff. Call me if you want to come look - 775-636-5335.

Thanks - Patrick

Hey Patrick, I take it that you still have these trucks? Cheers Kevin
Yep, I have had some interest, but mostly straight across trades for other projects.... Wife has kindly pointed out that I have too many projects and is not interested in anymore of my shennanigans.

I hear ya. My wife is the same way. I'll have to work on her a bit, especially for these. Price is right just have to justify the expense for the rebuild. I have an 84 HJ60 that as of an hour ago wont go into gear. Good thing it got me home and parked. I'll keep in touch. Cheers

Uh-oh... Hopefully its just something simple!

crawled underneath it this morning to find that all four bolts that mount the tranny to the bell housing were loose, leaving a nice 1/8" gap, hence no working clutch. Tightend what I could in the driveway and then used the impact at work to find that the lower drivers side is now stripped...more work to do. At least the vibration and shifting issues are gone. Time for some major attention to the beast. Let me fifure out a few things here as I would love a project FJ40 or two. It all has to sit well with the wife but maybe I can enlist the boys to help with the understanding that they will get the truck when we are done. They are just starting to drive so could be a good bonding exercise. I'll keep you posted and certainly let me know if someone else comes by for them. Cheers Kevin

Good to hear its not the end of the tranny! Hopefully you can helicoil it and forget it... and dont forget the loctite! I'll keep ya posted!
