Still a go? Doesn't look like the weather will be quite as warm as McGrew.
Stoked and ready to roll.

Sourdough? This weekend? Was there a plan for this?

(I feel so out of the loop. :frown: )

no clue, Im in Ptown this weekend.

Just camping. :D

My yearly family trip, no wheeling involved. River lounging with no computers, cell phones or video games!

FS says no fires this weekend. I'll try to call again Fri and re-confirm.
Looks like the weather is improving also.
Sounds like Keith might be tagging along.
Looking forward to the 'lounging'.

Have fun guys :)

ya, they have been posting signs all over about zero camp fires.

What's the big toodoo? There's no red flag warning now.
Is it just the time of the year? Can't be that much drier than 2 weeks ago can it?

Not sure, the little "fire warning" signs went from green/blue to red overnight it seems. On the Illinois river they have a them tacked to trees all over.

Ideed. For good reasons I'm sure.
Rats though. Was looking forward to a fire. Don't have to pack wood now.
Oh well.
Onward,

They have enough trouble with fires from lighting strikes. They probably don't want any more.

Just out of curiousity can a fire permit be obtained. The pit is there and the clearance that requires. Or would they even know you had a fire. Would the fire nazi come down and check?

No permit available. Just No fire.
I'd say they might check if they're that intent with all the postings.
I'll bring my 5' cord of multi colored LED lites. We'll roll them in a coil and pretend. Who knows, with enough adult beverage, it just might pass...eventually. ;p

p.s. just checked with Grants Pass FS and it's a NO-go on the camp fire.:frown:

Well, I was planning on driving up. Had all my stuff half loaded and I took a gander at my steering pump and there is lots of fluid out of the seal. It's newly rebuilt too! Had it done when I installed my ram assist. So I didn't think that the 5 hour drive up would of been good. I was looking forward to meeting some of my new clup members too...damb it.
I have to send the pump back to Texas for yet another rebuild...:bang:

I missed out as well. They'll be plenty-o-more opportunities ;)

Fun time just hanging out and chilling. The camp fire was great too! :D
