I've found many options for replacement polyurethane steering rack bushings for my 2001 LC, but can't find rubber bushings. It seems user 2001LC has a source, but he doesn't want to "wipe out" his source, so won't share. Does anyone have a source that they are willing to share?

The "D" shaped one is available OE.

Fantastic, thanks! By the way, do you know whether those lugs that stick out of the bushings are supposed to be oriented left-right or forward-back? I've seen people saying both. If you did this job, did you manage to replace in place, or did you have to remove the rack? I know people with the split polyurethane bushings can do it in-place, but these look harder to get in.

I have no experience with these. I've only installed poly ones.

advantagesteering.com sells them as well. 35.00

I think you are wise looking at rubber instead poly. Rubber will continue to provide the smooth ride we love with our 100 series vehicles.
