15 for a high today and a foot of snow. It's -5 right now. This is nuts. No issues though. It sat for 5 hours outside at the office and then started right up in 5 degree weather.

Synthetic fluids in the Diffs, Transfer and Transmission definitely help on extreme cold starts. The whine is reduced as well as the slightly sluggish feeling when you first start moving. Remember that the driveline warms much more slowly than the engine and has much longer service intervals so there is actually more benefit to synthetics there.

Switch them all at once. One trip to the autoparts store, one trip to the garage, one time warming the garage to a workable level, One time of getting smelly diff oil on you. Beats trying to do it a little bit at a time.

When buying that much synthetic fluid it is worth becoming an Amsoil "Dealer" for the year. You get a large discount, buy everything you need and then ignore the quarterly mailings they send you.

Also have cdan get you all the various washers needed ahead of time. A couple of bucks well spent in my opinion.
