Has anyone used blown insulation for sound deadening in existing counstruction and did it really help? I thought it might add to the "quality" feel of the house. I was going to be adding crown molding to all the rooms involved anyway, so the holes would be covered with the crown. Basically, did it work and make a difference in sound transmission?

Thanks

It will help but not much. Insulating a house against sound is a system. You need to do walls, ceilings and floors.
