Sound dampening vs rear drawer system

Is there any point in installing FatMat or another sound dampening in the rear if I plan on installing a full drawer system, including covering the wheel wells?

Yes. I tested it both ways and adding the deadening material still adds benefit even when covered by drawers.

Great Rob- can you give me an idea of how much it helped? Trying to do a cost/benefit analysis given how much work it seems to be to do the Fat Mat.
