Thanks for posting my pictures, is this what is referred to as High jacking a thread?
My York is not making pressure, so it's back to the wreaking yard or a rebuild.

doh! Nice work Al! Even if it doesn't work it looks great.
A hijack is basically someone stealing the show or getting off the main subject of a thread topic..

Yes I do have a check valve, down streem from the regulator.
I can plug the pressure line coming from the York and stop the flow with my thumb.
I plan on back pressuring the the line from the pump with my shop compressor to check for a major leak.
Obviously you cant hear any with the engine running.
Also I am not satisfied with the compressor mounting.the intake ends up on the bottom with a horizontal mounting, not ideal from a standpoint of oil consumption. by flipping it end for end would fix that problem and require shorter drive belt. I have not checked to see if this is doable.

Well I back pressured the supply line, no leaks so the next step is a tear down and new seals and gaskets unless there is a more serious problem. Then it's back to the wreckers.
I removed the York and modified the mount to accept the York flipped end for end, Will make it a lot easier to work on. Why didn't I mount it that way to start with?
