Did you know that when you place the vehicle in reverse both side mirrors dip down so you can see the curb? I did not find this covered in the manual, but in order for this to work, you must leave the "L-|-R" side mirror adjustment pad in the "L" or "R" position. If you leave it in the center, it will not work. Any one have a clue why this is? Maybe this is so you can "disable" the feature if you don't like it. Did you even know this feature existed? Just curious...I've been meaning to ask for the past several months.

Question for you guys before I take my vehicle in for the 10,000 mile tune up:

When you open the sunroof by pressing the open button and letting it go, the sunroof opens automatically (do not hold the button down). But does it open all the way or do you have to press and hold it at the end to get it to open all the way? Can you try this and let me know?

Another question: Does your air conditioner take about a minute when you turn the vehicle on to kick in? Every time I start my car it defaults back to 75 deg. and takes about a minute before it starts blowing air. I'm positive this is a new thing that is happening and will have it checked out -- I just wanted to know if yours does the same thing.

Thanks guys!

1. The mirrors on both sides dipping down is normal. Also, to disengage the mirrors from dipping down in reverse, just keep the switch in the middle of the L/R button. Yes, you were correct. The driver mirror drop down is new to me but I like it if you go off road and need to see rocks that backup camera cannot.

2.The sunroof "as stated in the manual" only opens 3/4 of the way. Purpose for this is to prevent heavy noise and drag when traveling at speeds above 45mph.. Push it one more time and it opens all the way up for better sky view which is better at much lower speeds.

3.Something may be wrong with your A.C. Mine cools off right away and keeps it's temp. Now if you have it on "AUTO" the temp. you have set is similar as your home thermostat. It will go off or slow the fan speed when it reaches set temperature in your vehicle. Love this feature! But found on most cars. In your case, there must be something wrong with your a.c. It might need to be re-charged?:hmm: Hope this helps.:steer:

3) My wife's LX470 does this. I believe it is programmed so that uncooled/cold air is not blown on the passengers until the system has time to clear out the hot/cold air. I noticed this happening in LC as well and just assumed the programming carried over to the LC. I don't believe anything is wrong.

3) Same thing happens with mine in Auto. Same thing on heat...does not blow until it is warm enough. You can manually override this with the fan settings.

My LC 200 blows out cold air 20sec. after it's on. I will check again today for accuracy.

Does it default to 75 everytime with auto off?

If I leave my truck set at 70 AUTO and come back a few hours later it goes back to 75 with the system off. Does yours do that?

I'll add another gripe here: Have you ever parked the truck on a very steep incline...say 30%? If you take your seatbelt off you will not be able to put it on again as the system locks. even with the vehicle in park, parking brake set and foot on the brake. It's aparently controlled by a manual gyro of some sort.

There are many reasons why you may have to take off your seatbelt at such an extreme angle, like if you get stuck and need to get out and setup a winch pull. When you get back in the vehicle you cannot put your seatbelt back on (no one can)....VERY dangerous in my opinion!

I had no idea about the seatbelt. Were you pulling too hard on the belt? Sometimes you have to pull very gently a couple of times to release the tension. You may already know this, but just in case that is what I have to do. Other than that, we need to contact Toyota. Your right that is dangerous. That would be bull---t if you can't re-belt. I will check my a.c to see if it defaults back to 75. Maybe another question for Toyota.

Yes I've tried pulling from every direction, speed and care. Nothing works. It is locked. Didn't check the middle row, but this is for both driver and passenger.

It's quite dangerous to be winching or even backing up down a steep slope with no seatbelt.

It's on my list for toyota...

Please let us know what you find out. I need to find a steep incline and check this out myself. Just need to tell the wife:princess: how important it is to find out and hit the trail. :steer:

UPDATE ON A.C

I had my a.c on at 70f for a little while even know it's 55f outside and than turned it off the LC for an hour after going for a drive. Came back turned it on and was still set on 70f. Maybe because it's not hot outside but I remember just last week when it was hitting 82f that it never came back on at a higher temp. than previously set. The weather here has been pretty cool and wet for this time of year "it must be that global warming thing":bang: and hopefully by next week I can try it when the weather warms up to "global warming standards":hmm:

I'm sure it's a glitch in my system. Remember, the AC turns itself completely off in my vehicle. This is new...it never used to do that. Thanks for checking though!

Let us know what they find. Hopefully it just needs a program fix. Either way there paying for it.:bounce: I would really like to find out about the seatbelt issue.

The mirror dip feature commonly failed on the LX470. The mirror would often not "return" to the correct position. So many, including myself leave the controls in the disable position. Hopefully they fixed it in the 200.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have not had this issue with my 200 yet, but have it all the time on the right mirror (the only one that dips for curb purposes) of a Cadillac SRX. :( very annoying and I need to get that checked out.
