Hello guys

I was wondering .. why cant go over with the CD lock

50 mpg in "Hi"

25 mpg in "Low"

what would hapen .. what could break .. and is there any way to solve this problem ..

..

what do you think about 500hp LS1 with 4L60E .. in the TLC .. and the 4wd still work .. :D

I suppose because they are afraid you could lose control if you go too fast since there may be wheel slippage?

Ever seen an LC100 doing 50 miles per gallon? ;)
I guess the transmission would suffer too much strain at over 50 mph on a surface with good grip (or at any speed, really). Either the tires would have to slip or the transmission to get broken. The front and rear wheels turn at different speeds in a sharp turn, which a locked center diff would not allow. Anyway, I don't see that this could be a problem driving at fast speed on snow or sand, for example.

are we talking about the highpowered LC in arab:flipoff2:

At those speeds there is no way you need the center diff locked. I am almost sure you can engage the cdl when needed at any speed so if you are running in the dunes at high speeds and encounter a traction problem, engage the CDL. Once moving again, disengage the CDL. Just a thought.
