Just wanted to show off a few pics from my trip to Moab and Ouray CO for the FJ Cruiser Summit. We had almost 200 FJ Cruiser there for trail runs, good food and a $20k raffle. Here are a few pics of my travels, you can see the whole batch on my photobucket site, look under "moab pics" and "FJSummit" albums....

Amazing photos Jerry!

When you get time, give us an overview of your trip, looks like it was fantastic.

Wow looks like a great adventure! Great photo's. By the way, do you bring your cruiser to Fred Anderson Toyota for service?

Packed the wife and daughters up on and headed toward Moab. Got to Denver on the 4th of July and celebrated it there then on to Moab the next day. Had to spend the first day keeping the wife happy by going to the "tourist attractions" like Arches National Park. Did some mountain bike with them and hit the trails by doing Gemini Bridges and Bull Canyon to get them loosened up. Did Fins and Things the next morning to escalate the "thrill factor", then met up with a few other FJC's the next day and did Top of the World and Poison Spider.

Off to Ouray to meet up with the ~200 other FJC owners for the Summit. Started by doing Red Mountain Mine trail. Did the first "official" trail run on Black Bear Pass coming b ack on Last Dollar trail into Ouray. Did the Imogene pass/Ophir pass loop the next day.

The trails in Moab were much more technical and challenging than the trails in Ouray but the vistas and views were amazing. The switchbacks of Black Bear Pass are all that the reviews make them out to be. Nothing more than being careful but huge drop offs that you wouldn't want to drop a wheel off.

The FJ Cruiser Trail Team is great and very supportive to every skill level of driver. The organization of the event was amazing for any event let alone a first time one. Great schwag bag, increadible raffle (I won a Rough Country 6" lift kit) and good food for the final night's event. They had a band on Sat night and loads of fun meeting all the "internet friends", putting a name to their internet monikers.

I'm planning a return trip to Moab to finish some trails I didn't have time to complete while there. I missed out on doing Hell's Revenge and some other "must do" trails. I would do it again in a heart beat. It was a great time and a missed opportunity for FJC owners that couldn't get the time off.

I have taken it in there once to get a AC line replace and while it was there, I had the front/rear diff's serviced. I try to do as much maintenance as I can...

in those pictures, is that little town with the mountain back ground...is that Park City?

Sorry, I should have taken the time to put some titles and explanations. That is the town of Telluride CO after coming down from Black Bear Pass. You are coming down from 12k feet and Telluride is about 8750 feet so its a bit of a descent ahead...

Almost as stunning as URE....

Jerry, I am very envious. I bet that was a great time and I can only imagine actually being there vs. the pictures. Hope to see you soon!

I was very lucky to have had the time off as well as my wife in order to go. With my girls being 13 and 14, I couldn't think of a better time to take them 2/3 of the way across the country and see how lucky we are to live here (the US). The funny thing is we watch the movie "RV" with Robin Williams the weekend before we left which help put things in perspective.

Now I just have to make up for what I have missed around here and find my way to Tellico and Harlan...

I hope everyone got the implied sarcams in my URE joke...
