WA STATE!!! GO HUSKIES!!!!
Greetings,

i have a vibration/shaking feeling coming from my t case, it is only noticeable when you feel on the 4x4 knob, yet not visibiliy.
i have a 96 lx450 with 112k miles.just did a basic service, plugs/wires, fuel filter/thermostat,air filter, valce cover gasket.
all input is deeply appreciated

So when you put your hand on the tcase shifter, it's humming? Mine does it too and always has . . . I've always assumed that's normal behavior.

X2 here - has been that way since I bought it. I figured it was normal as well.

Every 4x4 I've ever owned (4 Heeps, a Scout 80a, a 40, a 60 and an 80) with a manual shifter has done this.
It's a reassuring feeling .)

Normal. Things placed on the shifter boot dance and jangle and have since the truck was new.

That vibration you are feeling is your engine running and gears moving, a good thing IMHO. The knob is not isolated from the transfercase like the rest of the engine from the body therefore you feel the vibrations.
