Finally getting around to putting up some pictures of the new 40! It's real clean...getting started on building it up for some wheelin'. My kind father is sending it to IPOR for power steering and a roll cage so I don't kill myself in the thing. Don't ask about the floor mats. All I know is that it has a rebuilt 2F and 4spd transmission. I'll get down to all the details later.

really diggin those seats... Where did you buy that truck. It looks like the one that was for sale up in the lake norman area for a while here in charlotte.

Looks awesome

Agree about the one for sale on lake norman....you don't want those seats (i don't think) they represent something close to a J##P rosser style...

I'll get rid of the mats soon, I'm waiting on the new Hannah Montanna models.

Come on Jerry, I'm sure there's some space on the windows of the FJC for a Hello Kitty sticker.

I'm sorry but that's a tough one. I couldn't imagine the salesperson not changing them out before hitting the show room/lot but you've got some cojones to drive around with them in such a nice rig...

If you get rid of them i'll take them in my beast :D

(seriously I will)

Looks great! What's it got under the hood? How bout some pics of the engine too! Congrats

Looks super nice!

Almost looks like the same truck your Dad was selling a few months ago...is it the same truck??

You should definitely get up with me the next time you are in Elon and we can meet up and check out that rig.

Yep, same truck. Wasn't selling so he decided I would put it to better use.

I'll definitely shoot you a PM next time I'm headed home, cause I would love to see yours in person as well.

Glad you kept it! I considered buying it but it was a bit too nice for my budget at the time ;).

I like the liner on the interior of the tub. Is it roll or spray on and did you do that yourself?

Also, the black trim around the edges of the tub, is that door trim or liner? I bet it helps with rock nicks, etc...good idea.

Definitely get in touch next time your're in town.

BTW - I just did a power steering conversion on mine and it wasn't too bad. If you decide to do it yourself, let me know and I can lend a hand.

The liner is a spray liner. Barry over at Car and Truckware on Mebane St. did it. The stuff is somewhat spongy, but tough as nails.

The black trim is door trim. When I got the truck it had it everywhere and I thought about taking it off, but it does help with dings and paint chipping so I think I'm going to leave it.
