like the old vintage type, burly, no holes or spokes, could put a hubcap on it if you wanted, are they available for our vehicles or would this be a strictly custom order?

i suppose it would be to much to ask for a 15x8 on top of that....

Stockton Wheel custom makes some that I think can except GM style hubcaps.

Toyota Pickups from 1979-1985 came with a white solid steel wheel (no hubcap) in a 15x6.

You could always buy a set of 1976-Later FJ40 hubcap wheels and have them widened to 15x8

found some 88 yota 4x4 wheels that look to be damn close to what i'm looking for, will this year work?

check chevy / GM

i replaced some wheels on my fj40 a long time ago and as i remember the 4wd 3/4 ton chevy wheels had the same exact bolt pattern.

check it out... isn't this correct? i think they would also be straight switch for fj60's and 62's/

i bought some 15x8 rock crawler wheels this morning from the jyard, right bolt pattern but the center bore was to small. i would have just bored it out but on top of that, the backspacing was 4" so i would have needed spacers, AND i would need to refinish them so all in all, not worth the amount of money i'd have to invest into them to make them work so i returned them.

i'm hoping that the bore on those pickup wheels i posted above is correct, as that's the look i'm hoping for. I just painted the pillars and roof white and want some solid steel white wheels with some 33x10.5s on them to give the 60 a kind of retroish wagon look.

with the possibility of widening the wheels to 8" some day when money permits :bounce:

6 lug chevy wheels are the same bolt pattern as cruisers, backspacing might be funky though. Chevy may have factory wheels that are 8 inches wide, i dont know, at least you can consider 6 on 5.5 chevy wheels as options. If you decide to widen whatever you get, id say get some used 40 rims, would be a nice throwback.

Here's what I would do: Contact a Toyota specialty recycling yard(there's TAP in CA) and ask for the non-chrome rim for the SPARE tire from a '81-'86 FJ 60. I exclude '87 'cause my '87 came with a stock chrome/spoked spare, but my '85 had a white, plain rim as spare. I like plain wheels also...if I needed to replace my stockers I'd look into the old "spare" types.
