Took a 5k mile vacation for 25 days in the LX570. Nice highway vehicle. Got home sold it and we are now in the process of moving to Maui. Did average 18.5 mpg on the 5k mile trip on premium fuel. 80 mph on interstates every where but California. California avg was around 30 mph because of the traffic (can not understand why anyone lives in that God forsaken state). Taking the LX470 to Maui it's the right tool for the job. I also love my modded lifted LX470 more then the LX570. It is just hard to warm up to the looks of the 200 series versus the 100 series and I thought my old FZJ80 was even better looking then the lifted modded 100 series. I will say I don't think you can buy a higher quality more dependable vehicle then the LX570 and I felt like I was driving a Rolls Royce.

My wife and I are retired but she is a registered nurse with a Hawaii license. She wanted to work PRN at a local surgery center which she has 13 years of experience, she could not get hired because she was not from Maui. We lived there 3 years and if you get really ill you drive to the airport not the hospital and fly to Oahu to the big hospitals
congrats! I'm a surfer and been to hawaii a few times; traffic there is bad also; not sure about Maui. Now I agree with you about California; I have know idea why people live there; I have family there and have them visit us instead of going there. I still remember being on the highway at 1145PM and on both sides of a 6 lane highway it was bumper to bumper traffic as far as the eye can see.

Paia and Lahaina can have their moments, but can't think of anywhere I'd rather be stuck in traffic. 
And always thought it would be cool to have my truck over there. Gas may be high, but hard to drive too far.

I've always admired your 100 - so clean! How did you do on resale with the short term ownership of the 200? I suspect you bought it right so ended up selling it without much loss if any?

Owned it for a year, bought it for $52k with 29k miles. Drove for a year 13k miles sold to carmax for $45k. Cost me a littl less then $600 per month. Quick and easy. If I ever get another 200 it will be a LC. The LX570 is to "nice". I like my modded 100 series more.

They just got it in Austin late Friday night. Doubt it's listed yet. It's a perfect Texas Truck. The last 5k miles I put on in in the last 21 days road trip from Austin through California and back. Previous owner in Dallas had it serviced by the book, had dealer pick it up service it detail it and bring it back to her. It looked brand new when I bought it. I would of kept it but I love my 100 and the 100 is perfect for Maui.

Just sold the house today!! 30 days to close now we have to sell/ consign all our furniture.
That's not bad at all. I didn't think there was too much of a difference between the 200 LC and LX? Interesting that you like your 100 more...

It's on Carmax now they are only asking $48k with 42k miles. This is a Texas truck looks new top to bottom. Someone is going to get a great deal.
not to hijack your tread but I ditched my 2013 LX570 20,600 miles and got 62K for it. I posted in another tread about my work related issues so when sales guy made offer I just took it. could have probably gotten more but my issue is to cut expenses right away.
