2013 Toyota Land Cruiser - $31,500 OBO

JTMHY7AJ3D4013884

Magnetic Gray Metallic/Black interior, no mods. 146k miles and will go up as it is my wife’s daily driver. Registered/titled in Florida as we are FL residents, but it was purchased and has been driven in North Carolina (stationed at Camp Lejeune). Always garaged. WeatherTech floormats throughout. It’s never been off road in my ownership, just used for road trips and driving around town. Only selling because we’re moving to DC so we have to downsize to one car and literally downsize to a smaller vehicle as we will be parking on the street. Sadly, it must find a new home. The vehicle was recently paid off so I’m just waiting to get the title in the mail from Florida now. I believe in honesty, full transparency, and that you are buying the owner as much as you are buying the vehicle. I am an open book and am happy to answer any questions and entertain any reasonable offers. I’m on vacation this week so I just ran it through a touchless car wash (some of the underside photos are therefore wet), but will be doing a thorough cleaning of the exterior and interior as well as an oil change when I get home. I wanted to post it now as it needs to find a new home by the end of May. I have the Carfax and more photos available upon request.

Notable Maintenance (I have a binder of records during my ownership that will be included with the rig)
  • Oil changes done every 5-7k miles
  • December 2022: windshield replaced due to a rock chip/crack sustained on a road trip
  • March 2023: new battery installed
  • May 2023 (127k miles): new front brake pads and rotors installed (Power Stop Z17 Evolution Plus)
  • June 2023 (131k miles): radiator replaced. I deployed in July 2023 so my wife was maintaining the LC. I can’t find the exact records with dates and mileage, but I can probably reach out to the shop if anyone wants me to. Bottom line – the radiator started leaking again in December 2023 (140k miles) and was replaced under warranty. I got home from deployment in March 2024 (144k miles) and noticed the coolant reservoir was low and saw evidence of slight leaking on the garage floor. The shop replaced the radiator again and kept the LC for over a week to run it through all the tests to make sure the was no more leaking. It has been holding up fine since then.
  • April 2024 (145k miles): new KO2s installed and right headlight replaced (details below). I’m not sure why the shop listed on the Carfax appears to be in Canada, but it was done at Sneads Ferry Tire and Auto. I have the invoice and am happy to share it with anyone.
History
  • The vehicle was kept within the same family before I purchased it. I bought it in May 2022 with 101k miles from a small, family-run dealership in Wilmington, NC. The rig belonged to the dealer’s father-in-law, who has owned LCs since the 90s. The dealer has also owned multiple LCs.
  • On the Carfax report, there is an accident noted in 2017. I was told it was a fender bender and the front bumper and left headlight were replaced. The right headlight started to discolor/fog over recently and when I mentioned it to the dealer in Wilmington, he simply gave me a new headlight that he had on hand for no charge. I had it installed a couple weeks ago when I had the new tires put on.
Known Flaws
  • Some paint chipping on the front of the hood
  • Some minor patina (scratches) around the vehicle consistent with an 11-year old truck with almost 150k miles on it. I am happy to share pics, take videos, etc. as I do not want to hide anything about the condition.
  • Small crack in the rear bumper, was that way when I bought it and has not changed since then

Man, I hate you’re having to sell. I remember how amped you were to get into a 200.

Seems like a square deal. Good luck.

I know. I am quite sad to see her go, but this will not be my last LC. I'll only be in DC for 2 years so I'm already thinking about what I'll get at the end of that time, and some sort of LC is a the top of the list. Maybe and HZJ73 or 77...

Thank you, everyone for the interest in my LC. A buyer has put down a deposit so I have listed the post as "Sale Pending." Once it has sold, I will update the post accordingly. I'm happy to be a part of the MUD community and will absolutely have another LC in my life at some point.
