This is a complete drop in drivetrain. Currently in my 1977 FJ40. Currently in the truck, you can hear it run and go for a ride.
I live in truckee ca; Near Lake Tahoe. Can deliver to Sacramento or SF Bay Area.
Asking 2100 obo
Engine: 1985 2F.
The good:
Recent head work (cleaned, valves tested, decked .020”). Infamous Oil galley plug fixed.
Rebuilt 1977 carb on 1985 intake manifold.
FJ60 Gear reduction starter
Late model FJ60-style large cap distributor with coil
New water pump
100 amp GM one wire alternator on custom bracket
saginaw power steering pump on Valley hybrid bracket
York air compressor on custom bracket
Six into one header
SM420 with shifter and stock Cruiser knob
Stock “3-speed” transfer case with stock linkage.
Both shifters (should) fit through factory tunnel cover hole on 1974 and later.
The bad:
SM420 has lazy synchros. It Doesn’t pop out of gear but if you do not double clutch third and fourth will grind.
