Soggy Dry Lake - October 11 & 12 & maybe the 13th. (Rating = 1-5) Great trip for all levels, from dry lake bed, dirt roads, sand dunes to ROCKS.

On Saturday morning, some Cruisers may be heading to the famous Claw Hammer trail north of the Means Dry Lake and past the giant sand dune. Those not inclined to damage, can watch the experts Crawl the Rocks.

Some members will be arriving on Friday night and camping on Soggy Dry Lake off on the left (or west side) of Bessemer Mine Road.

Camping will be approximately one quarter to a half mile onto the left side of the lakebed. CB Channel 04. The Bessemer Mine Road is rough, but motor home accessible, the camping area is dry, with no facilities.

Enjoy the unique wheeling opportunities on California's Central Coast while meeting and socializing with other Land Cruiser enthusiasts.

Surf N Turf is suitable for all Toyota 4WD vehicles from restored classics to highly modified trail rigs. Join us for a classic California style beach party, bring your family and friends.

Activities include camping on the beach, wheeling through 1,500 acres of sand dunes, Sand Chef Competition, 5K Fun Run, High Noon Poker Run, Kids Games, Scenic Inland Trails and the Historic Pozo Saloon Finale.

There is no charge or formal registration for this event!

Truckhaven Hills - Salton Sea (Rating = 2-4)Thanksgiving Weekend overnight family trip; Base Camp, Day Runs. It's a great place to wheel wagons as well as short wheel base trucks.

If you're not familiar with Truckhaven Hills, its about 30 miles south of the 10 freeway just across the highway from the Salton Sea.

Most club members show up on Friday but occasionally some come earlier to claim a camping area.

So start thinking about it and join the fun.

San Felipe - Baja Mexico (Rating = 1-2)Celebrate Thanksgiving in Baja.

Come join us for a great trip South of the Border! We are going just beyond San Felipe and camping at the beach on the Sea of Cortez.

We will be doing a Pot Luck dinner for the Thanksgiving feast. Bring your favorite dish or dessert.

This will be a primitive, dry camping area. Motor home friendly. Bring all the toys!

The camping area is about 40 miles south of San Felipe. (Be sure to get Mexican car insurance for all vehicles before crossing the border. You must have a valid passport for crossing back into the USA

***Do Not Bring ANY kind of Firearm or ammo into Mexico ***
