Big Bear Run This Weekend
The official Big Bear Run will be October 10th & 11th, 9:00am. Meet Saturday morning at 9:00 am at the Big Bear Discovery Center (located next to Ranger Station on highway 18, just before Fawnskin). The Sunday run will be discussed at that time.
From the Greater Los Angeles area:Take Interstate 10 East toward San Bernardino, to the 210 freeway North, to Highway 330 East. Highway 330 becomes Highway 18 at Running Springs. Proceed on Highway 18 East to the Big Bear Lake Dam. At the yield sign, proceed straight on Hwy 38 (North Shore Drive), through Fawnskin, to the entrance of the Big Bear Discovery Center.
From the Orange County or the South Bay area:Take the 91 East (or the 55 North to the 91 East), to the 215 North, to Interstate 10 East, to the 210 freeway North, to Highway 330 East, to Running Springs. At Running Springs, the route becomes Highway 18, proceed East to the Big Bear Lake Dam. At the yield sign, proceed straight, through Fawnskin, to the entrance of the Big Bear Discovery Center.
From the San Diego area:Take Interstate 15 North, to the 215 North, to Interstate 10 East, to the 210 freeway North, to Highway 330 East to Running Springs. At Running Springs, the route becomes Highway 18, proceed East to the Big Bear Lake Dam. At the yield sign, proceed straight, through Fawnskin, to the entrance of the Big Bear Discovery Center.
--------------------------------Even though we are gearing this outing as a camping trip; those who wish to come only for the day are welcome.
