after 26 years very mild use and religious care and maintenance, my uncle decided to part with his super clean 1st Gen 4Runner SR5 turbo SURF. He's handing it down to me, but if i can find another toyota-head out there who i can trust will take good care of her and keep her in stable condition, the new owner will be the 2nd owner. here is the low down on the hang ten surf:
-1 owner, Uncle purchased brand new in '87
-Purchased with full dealer options
-Alcoa wheels were purchased as dealer upgrade
-86 and 87 are the only turbo production years
-tune up at 100k
-Bilstein Shocks dealer option
-22RTE turbo automatic
-never been off road
-Factory toyota 3 disc CD changer
-159k miles, no longer primary transport at 108k miles/2001
-new spark plugs
-new upper Radiator hose
-new air filter
-New battery
-Aux input 3.5mm
-ipod interface
-USB Charging Ports
-210W/120V power inverter with 2 outlets and 2.1 USB Charging port
-New Fluids (Oil, Transmission, transfer case, Rear Diff, Radiator, washer fluids front and rear)
-started and driven 4 miles round trip at least once every week to week and a half to the _____ store to keep it from sitting
-spent 2/3rd of it's life in garage, then was driveway parked from 2001-now
-no rips in the interior or dash
-no stains
-no leaks
-no rust
-all electronics work flawlessly (power windows, cd changer, lights, dash etc)
-no aftermarket parts or "upgrades"
-no accidents
-AC works but needs a recharge, should be recharged by sale date
-the camper was never apart from the bed....NEVER ONCE! i'll be the first to take it off when i cruise to the beach this weekend.
-interior is in 9.5/10 condition, uncle didnt have any kids to mess it up (my kids tear up every back seat they sit in)
-all scheduled tune ups performed
-only OEM toyota parts were installed when serviced
-photos show oxidized paint surface, but the rig will be color sand and buffed to shine by this weekend...i will post new pics
-truck will come with some new parts if i dont get around to installation
feel free to ask away about her. by the time im finished resurfacing the paint, polishing and detailing as close to showroom as possible...i'll most likely see how the truck will do on Ebay. but since that's all cosmetic and a real enthusiast would enjoy doing all that detail work themselves...your reasonable offer before it hits ebay should shave at least 2k off the buy it now price.
i'm testing the waters, i'm an old school toyota guy (70s-80s corollas, 4age engines etc) yes. but i'm not too equally knowledgable about 4wd stuff...although i did own 2 FJcruisers (one trd edition).
PLEASE EMAIL ME YOUR SERIOUS/REASONABLE OFFERS IF YOU ARE INDEED INTERESTED. zagazow@icloud.com
she will be posted on ebay by April 26 with a closing bid date of may 9th or so. i also plan on showing her at TORC in Long Beach if you'd like to come she it shine next to some well restored toyotas.
thanks for looking
