Hi All,

With much regret, I am putting my 2007 Lexus LX470 up for sale. I am planning on moving out of the country early next year and I will no longer have a need for the vehicle. This has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. It is capable, comfortable, reliable, and interestingly enough, I have gotten more thumbs-ups and more compliments on my 100 than anything else I’ve ever owned. I’d love to keep it, but I don’t think it makes sense.

The highlights:
  • 2007 LX470
  • Pearl White/Tan Leather
  • 153k Miles
  • Clean CarFax. No Crashes. No Funny Business.
  • Clean Underbody
  • Amazing Interior
  • 4th Owner

The Build:
  • ARB Deluxe Front Bumper
  • ComeUp Gen2 12.5RS Winch w/ Factor55 ProLink
  • STEDI Fog Lights
  • STEDI Type-X Pro Auxiliary Lights
  • SLEE Rear Bumper w/ Dual Swingouts
  • SLEE Step Sliders
  • Rhino Rack HD Roof Rack
  • Switch Pros SP-9100
  • OEM Toyota 18" Steel Wheels
  • BF Goodrich KM3 Tires in 275/70/18 (Replaced @ 140k miles)

Previous Ownership History:
  • 1st Owner: June 2007 – October 2008 - 9,500 miles - Texas
  • 2nd Owner: October 2008 – February 2015 - 71,000 miles - Texas
  • 3rd Owner: February 2015 – June 2018 - 109,000 miles – Utah

I purchased the LX470 from the 3rd owner (MUD member) in June 2018. It was not listed for sale, but the PO mentioned that he was planning to sell it soon. I sent him a message to inquire about it and the rest is history. I flew to Salt Lake City, purchased it, and drove it back to Southern California where it has remained in my possession. For the most part, I have driven it from my home to the office (~50 miles each way), a few trips up to San Francisco to visit my sister, and some off-roading trips on the weekends. This is my daily driver.

The LX470 is a 99% completely sorted vehicle (see below for more details). The AHC works flawlessly, the interior buttons and switches all work, etc... Mechanically, it is also in top shape. I have an extensive list of vehicle maintenance under my ownership (the CarFax report doesn’t seem to cover everything for some reason.

Maintainance Items:
  • Timing belt and water pump replaced by PO @ 95k miles (no records)
  • Spark plugs replaced by me @ 100k miles
  • Front brake pads & rotors replaced by me @ 140k miles
  • Upper control arms & passenger side cv axle assembly replaced by me @ 144k miles
  • Radiator replaced by me @ 150k miles
  • Fluids, filters, etc… have been replaced frequently. If you would like any additional details/specifics, please let me know.

Attention Required:
  • Driver’s side headlight bulb needs to be replaced
  • Front turn signals are wired, but need to be hooked up
  • Speakers (sub, specifically) can be replaced

Items Worth Mentioning:
  • The hood has a few small rock chips
  • There are a couple of dime-sized dings
  • VERY minor marks along the sides from off-roading adventures, but difficult to see under most lighting conditions.
  • Passenger side mirror housing is cracked
  • The spare tire is a K02, not KM3
  • There are a few VERY minor spots of surface rust (see pictures).

I could go on and on about this vehicle, but I think I covered the most important things. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Personal inspections and pre-purchase inspections are welcomed AND encouraged. If you would like any additional pictures, just let me know. I am an open book and have nothing to hide.

Priced at $28,500.

Thanks for looking,
Wes

Beautiful build Wes! The Stedi lights are looking sweet. Enjoy life’s next adventure!

Btw - “mild build” is sliders and AT tires 😂

@TrillyPop

Thank you! I think it's an understatement to say that 2020 has been an unexpected and wild ride for all of us. At the beginning of the year, I never expected to be in the position that I am in now. I am working from home full-time, barely driving anywhere these days, and in the process of moving to Iceland to live with my soon-to-be fiance. On the plus side, there are no shortages of Cruisers in Iceland. I'll definitely be back!

Good looking rig, mate. GLWS.

As an Aussie expat, that front plate made me do a double take. My home state!

Very nice. Not to be nit picky but ultimately have to also sell our wives on these toys. Are you able to post a clear pic of the cracked mirror housing?

Thanks! I have it there for fun since I know these rigs are popular in Aus. It's a nice conversation piece. Just the other day somebody asked me if I was from Wales. I had to explain the difference between that and NSW. LOL!

LX w/ steelies. Nice!

Thanks!

Sure, a picture is attached.

Awesome 100, GLWS!

Thank you all for your interest.

Pending sale.

SOLD.

Thank you all for the interest and positive words. Parting with my 100 wasn't easy, but I think it was the right thing given my situation. Good luck to the new owner @pdubj. I hope you enjoy the LX for many years to come. Treat her well. :)

Cheers,
Wes

Made it back to UT and just have some headlamp and turn signal issues to iron out, before I can get licensed.

Thanks Wes for meeting me at the airport and for caring for this LX. We'll take very good care of it, and the adventures in S. UT are going to be a blast!

Wow, talk about bad timing! I live in Oxnard, and this would have been mine for sure if I had signed up a month back!
