So will a 2 inch lift get me higher than the Xterra?

You could be taller with just taller tires and no lift. Might not want to flex it but it would be taller.

thats a tall order for getting higher than an Xterra. what 2" lift ? what size of tire? how many loads of hay in the trunk? buy a roof rack and put a couple of rocket boxes up there. or on the other side are you worried about not being able to get it in the garage ? b/c i've had that problem before and had to take off the roof rack...

Add an antenna to the roof, then you will be taller. All the skyscrapers add towers to be the tallest and fet records I don't see why you can't.


If you are really serious about this question we need more info on budget and what it will be used for. Then we can guide you to the best solution.

Lets see......... you could get a tape measure out.

Well it is hard to tell because the stock springs are so flat, esp in the rear. I have 31x10.5x15 tires on it, and I am going to stick with that size. For the rear I have 2 inch Ironman heavy springs, and the fronts will be 2 inch Dakkar's. I don't want a lift shackle. I guess the Xterra has a higher body in general?

I have stock springs/shocks with a shackle lift on 33x10.5 and I am taller than stock Xterras. I believe my shackles add 2" over stock (not sure though since I don't have the OEM shackles to measure). If accurate, then I would assume a 2" spring lift and larger tires would accomplish the objective.

if you springs are flat you get more like 3 or 4 in outa the kit I got 6 with shackles outa my 4 in

stock flat with 31

2 1/2 BDS and JT outfitter 1 1/2 shackels and 31's
