This guy! :rimshot:

He drove his 2WD Dodge Durango down Haystack Butte Road to the Salt River, then didn't know how to get it back up the hill.

Another guy gave him a lift back to Globe & the next day I saw him get a tow out. No harm, no foul I guess :eek::eek:

Reminds of ten years ago cutting Christmas Trees in unit 5A on the rim. To get there you take FS95 down to East Clear Creek. Down at the bottom you take FS96 out up the other side of the canyon. On the way out driving down to East Clear Creek on FS96 there was a 2WD Dodge Dakota sitting on the hill with it's plastic bumper laying in front of the truck. Guess someone trying to pull him up the hill. He was in the middle of the road and as we crept by the driver wouldn't even make eye contact. This was a Saturday and plenty of traffic going thru wasn't like he was being striated. He could of backed down I guess but still wouldn't made it up the other side. There was snow on the ground when we drove in and it was snowing hard on the way out. At that time there was still a tow truck operating out of Clint's Well. Heard later he worked until after 10:00 PM towing people out. Nice year end bonus.
