I will be heading out on Friday and leaving on Sunday. We rented the two trailers at Leapin' Lizard RV Park right before the Iron Door Saloon. Bringing the Cruiser and the Honda 450f. Should be quite a site seeing all these nut jobs at Ocotillo Wells. Friday night we are planning on running in to Borrego Springs for some ribs. Post'em up!

Im 50/50. Dont know yet.. prolly decide the night before. If i head out.. we'll be leaving Saturday AM and returning Sunday AM-early PM. I'll have the 80 and i'll be with some people from Tinbenders, rockjunkies.com and JP mag. Who know's we'll see.

Hopefully I will see you out there, we will have our company trailer parked in the vender area. So if you do decide to come out stop by and leave a note where you're camped. I have not met you yet. If I remember correctly you know Peter Trashberg no?

Yeah, if i go i'll be hanging with him a bit... but he'll be working more than wheeling.. so we'll see. I'd like to get in on the OD convoy they're doing with Cappa but i dont have my m-715 anymore :frown:

There's a good place in Borrego Springs for ribs? Name?? Have a four day trip to AB later this month.

Too much going on right now Tare. I will have to see you out at Calico.

Yeah i've heard ... he shot himself in the foot with that one... tons of guys on pirate hate jp already anyways.. lol

Anyhoo.. Brent, there's a good place for mexican food too across the highway from normal Truckhaven TDS area too.

I think I would distance myself from John at TDS. I plan on sitting back myself and watching him run for his life.:D :D :D

Wow, that is going to go over like a turd in the puch bowl. I am surprised he would be allowed to write something like that. That is a flat out dissing of 90% of Jp's readers or more.

If you read Jp you will see there is no professional rock crawling coverage. Personally I agree with John, professional rock crawling is boring as hell to watch. Now if you are the driver that's a different story. His editorial is at the beginning of the book, is the one and only place where the editor is allowed to express his OWN opinion. The guy from Crawl Magazine was way out of line and very unprofessional in bashing John. He will get his someday, life has a way evening the score. He will one day write something that offends others and will understand what he did to John was just plain wrong. Call it professional courtesy, if you are an editor you should know to respect other editors where they stick their neck out. John is not the first one to ever say professional rock calling in boring. Anyway John bugs the s*** out of me on a regularly basis but I also have a tremendous respect for him. He sticks to his guns on his believes and tell it like he sees it. He has never been afraid to express his opinion, even if it’s unpopular. Most just follow the heard and play it safe. He has never caved in to a demand from an advertiser, even thought it would mean more revenue for Jp. If he wants to cover it, feels the readers want it, he will do it. It makes my job harder but I respect him for his editorial credibility. Oh yea he's asshat too, had to say that in case he reads this.:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

I thought there would be big wigs above his head that would put the kabosh on something like that. That is cool that he sticks to his guns, you have to respect that. Pretty bitter debate though, glad I am not a part of it.

I'll be there sat and sunday. this is fairly close to me so I dont know if I'll be camping overnight or not. I have an older dog that might not handle the excitement too well. depends on how he's feeling that weekend. last year, I just went home and came back the next day.
