The interior dimensions look like my 200. Now comes with a rear locker and TTV6. If it’s priced right could be a great successor to the LC200?

Here's a decent write up along with some good photos and Nissan's own video. From what I have read it sounds like the Pro 4x trim we are getting here in the states will share the same underpinnings as the Y63 Patrol.

Looks like Nissan respects the US consumer more than Toyota. I hope this move by Nissan encourages Toyota to bring the 300 back to the USA. As of now, I’m liking this Pro 4x vs the 250.

the US Armada is pretty much identical to the Patrol now, even more so than the last gen which had an uglier body and no off road stuff.
I saw it in real life. Much nicer than the 300. Sorry but anyone who buys a 250 over this...unless you want something smaller I guess.

The all-new 2025 Armada adds unprecedented off-road capability with its first PRO-4X grade. Featuring all-terrain tires, an increased approach angle, underbody skid plates, an electronic locking differential and Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension.
The new Patrol/Armada sits on a new frame that has a claimed 25 per cent increase in torsional rigidity and a 57 per cent increase in lateral stiffness.

Pro 4x:

-Twin Turbo3.5-liter V-6 with 425 HP & 516 pound-feet of torque (regular unleaded)
-8500 lbs towing capacity
-Yokohama Geolander all-terrain 33 inch tires 275/60R20
-9.6 inches of ground clearance
-33.9 degree approach angle, breakover angle of 25.5 degrees, and a departure angle of 24.5 degrees
-Steel underbody skid plates
-Locking rear diff

I’m not well versed on Nissan other than you best watch out for Altima drivers and they built a hell of a track car back in the day with the GTR. At first glance this thing looks like a really nice, capable vehicle. Definitely a 300 Series competitor more than a 250. I could see it taking some sales away from the LX and Sequoia, especially if they undercut them on price.

How is articulation on the patrol? Comparable to 200 series?

I'm guessing the PRO-4X trim will land somewhere north of $70K fully loaded...I just can't justify that for a car...it is nice though no doubt

For an off-roader with IFS and IRS it's quite good. The oversea Patrol (Y62 generation) came with "Hydraulic Body Motion Control" (HBMC) which is Nissan's version of KDSS. However it's not even close to how much a 200-series can flex. US-spec Y62 Armada without HBMC scores 342 points on a 20 degree ramp travel index (RTI). For comparison 200-series LC with KDSS scores 661 on a 20 degree RTI.

Don't compare the previous gen Armada because even that has worse flex than the Patrol without hbmc.

With the new gen I think they are identical other than badging.

The Nissan Patrol has very good flex for IFS/IRS. With or without HBMC. The current Armada doesn't.

The new Patrol here will start at lower than the higher spec 250...
Sorry but it's a no brainer to me.

It's also huge inside vs the 300.

Yes, at the Global launch they made it clear that the new Y63 is a Global product...the same spec unit will be available in N America, GCC and Australia for example. So N America will be getting the genuine Patrol (badged as an Armada for some reason.) Sadly the Y63 is not available in Europe.

I really liked the new Patrol, it made the LC300 look so dated.
I don't know how to explain this but in the photos the new Patrol doesn't look as good as it does in real life. You really need to save any final judgement until you see it.
I took a few photos from the launch, I'll share them later.

Nissan basically created the perfect family/offorad luxury 4wd. The only thing I don't really like is the push button transmission controls.

I think the 20” wheels are a miss, would much rather have 17 or 18 inch wheels. Also don’t like air suspension on my off road wagon. But that aside, it really looks amazing on paper and in pictures. Putting wheels to one side, it is really perfect out of the box. Rear locker, 3 rows, good angles, and a strong pedigree.

I think some versions in the US will have the smaller wheels and no air. Just like it the Middle East.

Guys let me tell you, you lost the lc300 (except for Lexus) but you got the Patrol.
It's not a bad deal at all.

Man...Nissan knocked out of the park. Took from the Land Rover playbook design and mixed with Japanese reliability (Toyota) and delivered a beautiful no non-sense offroader. If they price this right and avoid skinning the customer alive, RIP Sequoia and (unless you do not like/want space) RIP Prado-not-a-land-cruiser 250 in the US. Barred some engine flaw like Toyota, Nissan will be reining with no Japanese competition in the segment and will scoop the market. Hell, I just bought the car of my dreams - a 2020 LC 200HE and was really tempted. The only way Toyota gets back from this is by bringing the 300 or launching a LX600 Overtrail and I am not even sure about that.
