The big and only question is: Has anyone re-wired a harness before and did you go insane? My new old wiring harness arrives this Friday and I will be starting this project - sober to start. Anyone have any good advice?

Years ago (many moons ago), I restored an E-Type Jag which included complete wiring harness replacement. When I started testing electrical items, I used a 12V power supply instead of a car battery to power it up. The power supply was limited to a few amps, so I was comfortable that I would not melt any wires if I had a mistake. Once I fully tested everything, I installed a car battery and re-tested everything before cranking the starter. Fortunately, everything was OK.

I HIGHLY recommend this approach, I will happily help you if I can.

We're happy to help...there are significant details missing, though. Feel free to shoot me a message and we'll work you through it.
