Never done it before on any vehicle, but tomorrow, the A440 is coming out of my 62. One way or another. I'll post some pics as I pull it, and then the swap process.

I purchased a used tranny that will be installed, with an Extreme Valve Body.

just did it to mine,bought a used one and swaped it,by the way, when switching out the parts from one trans to the other dont forget the parking brake pin that holds the parkingbrake mechanism like i did.now i will have to go back into the transfer case again to correct it. yes manual for the trans would be awesome. BTW finally got around to pulling it today. It was hard...lots of little things, never pulled one before. But after lots and lots of sweat, and blood, and dropping it off the jack......its out and so begins the transfer reebuild and swap next weekend.
