Its good to meet you too - another person from MUD thats close to where I live.

Moderator - can you merge my thread with this one E9999 started - 2 threads on almost the same subject in SC80s kinda suck. Thanks.

Eric, Danny, and Alan, it was great to finally meet each of you. Michelle, Reagan and I all had a blast. And what a feast we had on Saturday night! We definitely need to do this again, soon!

Danny - give me about a week to see if everyone who ordered shirts still wants what they ordered, then I can let you know if there are extras. Gauging by the interest the shirts received at SNT, I think we may be doing another run of shirts soon.

Hopefully next time we see each other is on the trails! :D

Candice and I could not have had a better time! My friends Damian was blown away at what these trucks can do (he drives a nice 2002 stock 4WD Pathfinder). He is now in the market for an 80 :D ! That night run on the dunes was fantastic....also my 1st experience in a SC'd 80 (thanks Boyd, now I will forever feel inferior). Candice had so much fun that she WANTS me to put on the OME Heavies that I have sourced on HER rig (yes she does know that she is pregnant, but she has converted). It was so cool meeting new people and getting to know others better. We have some really great people in this section. Screen names with faces is nice too.

Now just have to figure out which shocks for the springs. I guess it will just depend on which ones I can get for the right price (OME, Bilstein, Rancho, etc)

Thanks again for a great weekend,

Smit

No kidding, as soon as I get shocks I will be lifting it. I don't want her to have time to change her mind. It will stil prob be Jan. though. The drive was awesome. Very scenic and it took about 1 hour 45 mins. from when we last saw each other. did have a little traffic.

See you on the trails,
Smit

I was able to score a sweet Christmas present this weekend. On the trail up to Pozo Saloon we were following Brent and I was impressing upon my wife the subtle elegance and rugged utility of the Kaymar rear bumper that we were staring at. Well, about an hour in to our 2-hour journey, her bladder began to impress upon her, and she began, calmly at first, but building in cadence, sort of like a Hillary Clinton speech , that she wished to pull over. My answer to to her requests was "I'm not pulling over, I told you to go before we left!"

So, I guess she really had to go, and she made a deal with me that if I pulled over she'd buy me the Kaymar bumper for X-mas.

Yeah, I pulled over so fast I nearly flipped.:D :bounce: :bounce2: :bounce: :bounce2:

Merry Christmas, everyone!!!!!

I had a great time as well!

Thanks to everyone for the food contributions!!

Good to meet new friends and see old ones.

Glad to hear about the lift approval Smitty. I had to laugh at the voicemail as well. I shared it with Cindy and she was glad to have another convert!

Where next?

Boyd

Dan - glad I could help in your acquisition of the bumper! LOL!

Boyd - Mexico - the place you were talking about sounded like fun!

Oh, that's right; I said I would post some info.

Time for a new thread.

It was great to meet so many of you, and match faces to "screen names", and "real names". The food was awesome, too. Thanks to the organizer, and to all who contributed and participated. I look forward to the next "SoCal 80's" get-together.

Take care,
Joe
