I popped in to see what was what.
Used to wheel in heavy snow up in Washington outside of Dayton on the Idaho border. Used terra tires stayed on top and for even more fun used tow bars to tie vehicles together for a train across the snow.

I just picked up some snow tires today. 35x15.50 swampers. Hopefully they will float a little better than the 12.50's I had last time. As long as they fit, I'll be looking for some Semi truck chains to cut down to size.

Sliders are nice, bumper with a winch is a must in the snow.

yeah, last time when I had the Rover it was all good because I was locked front and rear with chains. Now, all I have left are the chains!

like you said, winch is a must, but I also want the sliders built first too. I don't want to come up on some unknown obstacles and damage the sills.

We usually stick to the established roads so hidden rocks are few and far between. Never hurts to have sliders and armor though.

Maybe someday I'll get mine finished.

Say when. You know I am always up for a snow wheeling trip. Darcie and I were just discussing snow wheeling yesterday. Super Swampers are some of the best snow wheeling tires I have ever seen, as long as it is deep snow. They suck in/on ice.

I just picked up some 35x15.50's so we'll see if they fit. Not much of my front fenders left to cut.....

Now I have to score some chains and finish my sliders and rear bumper, then ditch all the spare parts and tools so I can lose 500 lbs off the whale.


Anybody got a spare 6-71 blower laying around for a 360 Mopar????
