The D-ring wasn't the problem. It was the anchor point, which was a leaf spring shackle. A bolt head sheared clean off, and off came the D-ring at light speed.

Jone, if I would have let them just painted the repaired area it would have stood out against the original old paint. So since I have a buddy that has a spray booth I opted to respray the whole rig...:o) I'll let pics do the talking when it's done. The repair cost wasn't as bad as I thought; $3500 out the door and this price includes the cost to spray the repaired area.
