I work a half day on wednesday and am off the rest of the week. Who wants to do a local snow run?

There is still snow up in the Lake Hughes area above valencia. We could do a small snow run up there and puts around the local fireroads...

Or we could try hungry valley?

I'm open to anything, I just want to wheel it this week...

I have a co-worker with an F350 Superduty who isn't scared to use it. Gotta find a wheeling place suitable for such a big truck... He's interested in a run this week.

Wednesday or Thursday? Which day is best for you?

I think my boss will give me Friday off!;p

Already got plans for the AM and the PM both Wed and Thur.

:meh:

So wednesday is the best for both of you I take it. We'll shoot for that then. Next up for discussion is the place. We're supposed to get more snow wednesday and thursday.

Mark, do you know of any good snow runs? Hungry valley or fraizer park? I'd like it to be acessible for my friend's F350 if that needs to be taken into consideration.

I have a co-weorker with a stock FJ cruiser (possibly rear locker) who might join as well. Does anyone have extra chains for a stock FJ?

Wed is OUT for me, but whatever. Dude, when the snow is falling, the access road is a GREAT place to start, even if you don't make it to the trail!

Have fun.

If you can do Friday I can wait.

Which access road are you talking about?

Where are we going?

Leaving tomorrow around 10 am. Call if interested.

Do you have a google map/google earth file of the planned route?

I am trying to convince the wifey as our plans haven't solidified yet.

As of right now I am planning on going up "Forest Route 6N04." It is the last fire road going up San Franciquito Canyon Road before Lake Hughes / Lake Elizabeth Area. It branches off up in the mountains and has the possibility of going over to Boquet Canyon Road. I'd like to meet at 10am at the gas station on the corner of McBean and Decoro in Valencia. Go up into the snow and see how far we can get. Play in the snow for a little bit and come back.
