I have a buddy from So Cal comming up should be here tonight and he wants to get into some serious snow with his lady. So I promised him a trip somewhere that he can really use is old school wooden tabogin?. So I'm planning something for tomorrow...maybe Page Mnt. or Spencer...

Spencer's was just okay. Was raining when I was up there with Garett, Keif, and Tyler, so I think it'll be iced over.

I think you're going to have to go higher for really good snow. Diamond Lake, or Dutchman's Peak will both be high enough that they're just going to get more snow, rather than rain.

Yep snow level rising and getting s***ty up there. I would look for Diamond Lake or the likes.

Ack...32* at Diamond this morning. Crappy rain at 5000' and below and most likely rising.

Yup. Siskiyou Summit pass is at 35* as of 8 AM. (Elev. 4310)

Mt. Ashland Ski road was at 24* as of 7 AM (not sure the elevation there, bit higher than the pass).

Not looking good for snow unless you can get over 5k feet. Means all the local places are a no-go for sledding.

Dutchman's probably still has some snow, Diamond area might if you can get higher (maybe up towards Crater Lake).

I heard yesterday the highway was closed at Prospect before Union Creek due to trees down all over the place. You might want call before making the drive if heading that way.

We headed up Ashland and had an awesome day!! No wheelin' involved but lots of sledding and such! :)

Here are a few photo's of our trip to Mnt. Ashland:

Nice! What elevation did you get to there and was that the near the ski "resort" or somewhere else?

I didn't check the elevation but we went up to the ski area and turned around because it was really windy up there. We ended up at the chain up area/snow park just before the ski area.

that is one thing i miss about the FJC over my 4runner. no freaking altimeter... they should have put the clock elsewhere, like in the radio display.

Yeah!!! :)
