Any tips on where to buy ( in the U.S. ) a snorkel that is suitable for a RHD
BJ71 (13B-T)?
Thanks......1978HJ45

air box is still on the same side. there is no RHD specific snorkel
OEM or safari.
any arb dealer could get it for you, they won't stock it because there just barely seems to be 70 series in the states.

They are stocked at ARB... lots of 70 series in the Americas.

If you want OEM, West Coast Cruisers had the 70 series OEM snork with the proper OEM air box if you don't have the box that works. Not cheap, but still very nice.

I just talked to an ARB representative in Jacksonville, Fla. and he informs me that he can have the correct version in approximately one week so I guess that is the direction I will be going.
Thanks......1978HJ45

Hello,

You may want to order the engine bay air filter housing as well. I am not sure if Westcoast's OEM kit includes it. It will save you some fabricating.

The BJ71 has the correct air filter housing. It's really only the gassers that do not.

I have only priced the "Safari / ARB version and it will be approximately $400.00 (USD) delivered. I assume the Toyota (OEM) version will be more expensive.

Nope, not the ones I've seen. They have the correct air filter housing.

The snorkle air boxs ive messed around with have the inlet in the centre of the gaurd , the non snorkle ones have the air intake behind the headlight .

Thank you John. That housing is the kit's most expensive part, IIRC, for a gasser.

Ended up ordering a Safari Snorkel ( Part Number SS73HF ).
Shipped to my home for approximately $430.00 (USD)
