Does anyone know the difference between the Safari Snorkel models SS410HF and SS415HF.

The Safari site lists the SS415HF as available soon but didn't have any details about it.

Anyone running the clear round optional air pre-cleaner / dust separator on their snorkel? Any issues with these and optional intakes like the TRD CAI?

Just curious.

I attempted to install the snorkel with the cyclonic air cleaner. Not doable. When I explained my problem with John Hocker at Sierra Toyota; an ARB / Safari distributer, he informed me that Safari were just finding this out. This was about last October. Upshot, Safari had a pre-cyclonic cleaner shipped to Australia for further study and posable resolution. Perhaps this is the result. 2 models.

Was the problem clearance at the window post from the snorkel tube?

That round filter can be installed, as we test fitted one on my FJ down at ARB last fall when my snorkel was installed.

The round clear filter will need an extension though to clear the pillar/roof.
One could easily make up the parts.

I can not remember though which size we test fitted.
They come in 8" and 10" I think.

They are talking about the precleaner that goes on the top of the snorkel tube and replaces the ram air head. They are cool, but not supposed to go over 55mph with them installed. I think they constrict flow a bit.

Maybe that new snorkel has a kit to hook it up to the CAI :bounce:

The DIY method works great, but it wouldn't hurt to make an adapter.

The prefilters come in a 7in and 10in size. Safari Snorkel Pre Cleaner
