Smilies don't show and words appear without paragraph breaks

A new problem has developed for me over the last day or so Woody.

When anyone (including myself) posts a smilie, all I see is the triggering letters/symbols on the screen. In other words, the letters/symbols no longer trigger the smilie to appear.

Secondly, when I type all the sh@t I write carefully into separate paragraphs using the "enter key" on my keyboard, it all gets posted clumped together as though I never bothered.

And I haven't changed any of my settings.

< and this here is showing on my screen as a pic of beer mug filled with beer and froth but I bet it'll change to just the word "beer" etc as soon as I hit the "create-thread/post key".

Edit immediately after posting: Yep... Once again I no longer see the beer mug smilie and all my paragraphs have once again disappeared into the ether...

I've been finding this as well today. Looks good when composing a post, then all clumped together with buggered smilies once submitted.

updated the selectable profanity filter and obviously should have kept the much older version
