I just got done changing the oil in my fan clutch on the 80, and found a small tip that may help someone.

To fill the clutch with fluid use a 20ml syringe thats used for dosing infant meds. you can get them for free from the pharm if you dont have kids.. if you have kids you may have one laying around anyway.
Using this allows you to measure the amount going in as well as push the fluid into the cavity as the syring fits into the holes perfectly.

Eaton clutch recomended fill is 50 ml of fluid.

Anyway maybe this will help someone

I just did this yesterday. I picked up a new blue hub clutch from Chris at Fred Anderson and had is apart an hour later. I picked up a bottle of 10,000 cst fluid from a hobby shop in Fuquay. I just measured the dimensions of the bottle to figure the existing volume and then did a little math to figure what percentage of the bottle to dump in there. Not too exact, but close enough. Pretty much to the top of the 4 holes was 45 ml, as recommended by Tools-r-us.

yep i used the 10000 wt fluid from hobby shop as well. nice little roar on start up now too

How long did it take to drain, biaaatch?

i let both halves sit upside down over a tuperware container for about 24 hours. then wiped it clean with a rag and refilled. Ive read that solvents dont work with silicone oil so its not recommended to use brake cleaner, etc. Just drain, wipe off excess in the groves and refill.

Cold ac is so nice!!!

I let mine sit on the roof of my shed in the blazing heat for the day. It was pretty darn empty after that. Followed the same process that Barnes did.

There is a hobby shop in Fuquay that has the 10,000 cst on hand. I had them ship it to me. They charged me ~$12 shipped. The bottle about 80ml, so there is plenty.
