slip shaft placement

Time to build my shafts I got some 12" Slip shafts and I need to determine placement . I have a soa on stock springs with a shackle inversion i have a clearenced mini truck dual carden for the rear shaft and sincle carden for the front. Should I put the slips at the axle or the tcase? It has been so long science I pulled the shafts that I cannot remember the orientation . Thanks for the help.

Thanks Bret I will put them both at the axle flange. That solved allmy ? I searched for the info but I didnt find that thread. NFC ers are my heros.
