I needs' to get me some of this!! Chick-fil-a's on the West Coast now!!

There's the first one over here in Fairfield!! 1350 Travis Blvd Ste 1516b Fairfield, CA 94533

YouTube - Chick-fil-A

You have had to wheeled in the Colorado-East areas to fully appreciate how cool this place is!!

If you're in for a quick get together and meet-up let me know. :D

We were just bantering about this in the Brave Saint Saturn forums.
I'd like to, but this Saturday's busy for me, if the 18th would work, it would be more in keeping, and an incentive for me to survive finals week.

Semi-related:
An El Pollo Loco just opened up in Rohnert Park, too. A friend of mine I worked with back when I was butchering said it's good; it's also on the list of things to try.

I've heard about this stuff... Chick Fil A... don't know what its all about but Mark and Brian swear by it.

Looking forward to trying it one of these days.

Pollo Loco's are already out here in the East bay, good stuff, same with some of Del Taco's stuff.

The 18th might just work. Lets see if anyone else chimes in and pass the word around to other members. It'd be a fun little trip for us. :D

Tony there is one up by you in Roseville off of Highway 65. Take the Pleasant Grove Exit just after the home deopt when heading North. It is on the West Side of the Freeway.
Haven't tried it yet but have driven by it several times.

IIRC there's also a JomBob's Taco's out htere too. Get the chicken one...

Bump..Saturday the 18th's a no-go for us, but I'll be in S.R. this Thursday the 16th having Larry re-adjust my brakes and seeing if that is the cause of my soft brake pedal issue or not. I should be in town by 9am and be there until he can juggle it through amongst some engine drops.

LMK if anyone wants to meet up and play tourist shuttle driver or just hang out and chat for a little bit.

I'll buy the Waffle Fries, etc! :D

Thursday I'll be in RP at 1100 (bowling with a lady friend from Intervarsity), but RP is close to Standish Avenue, I've walked from one to the other on more than one occasion while waiting on work at Larry's shop, I could swing by to say hi then, prolly around 10-ish, when I'm done with the gym.

I was in Fairfield yesterday on my way to and from Livermore collecting a free 40-series cowl, I was tempted to stop by and see what the hubub was.

Good to meet you today Sam..sorry I was all chattery. Being in pain and having downed a chilled coffee w/ the ibuprofin tends to do that to me.

Next time, time permitting I will definitely be getting me some chicken and waffle fries. :hillbilly:

yeah, it was pretty cool to meet up with you in the flesh, and your rants were far from off-topic, so no worries. Truth is, it kinda inspired me to detatch myself from the interwebz and 'Mud for a little while. Made me realize there is just so much more worth doing now, and I feel that I've learned enough from this site to really just begin moving along some.

I'll drop by the PMC board ever now and again to check up on things, and when I have noteworthy progress on my rigs I'll share, but I believe it's high time I began evading modern communication methods for a while. On that note, do they still sell postage stamps at grocery stores?

Please, by no means interpret it (internet, etc) all as the main source of societal's woes. It serves a purpose of keeping us all connected, it just also throws curve balls into things if you "Let the matrix Have You".

Without TLCA or 'Mud there would be no community here at all. Things serve their purpose, you just don't serve it. Make sense? Use it as a tool for friendships and knowledge and all else works out.

Folow the path you are on and become a teacher and influence change at a level it will be received rather than laughed at.

Right now a lot of us are so stressed out we all need a day away like I took to just rationalize and freshen up our views.

Look at it like someone there said, "I don't have time for that stuff with all I have going on."
Prioritize and justify your time where it matters is all I was saying.

Well, that and a good lunch or dinner interdispersed for sanity's sake. ;) Go wheeling with a club or forum member, it'll make you happy. :D

'Mud and the TLCA aren't responsible for the decision, neither did your conversation cause it. I've just over the last weeks come to realize that I've allowed much of my time to be sacrificed to online participation; which has gotten in the way of commitments at times (I usually find myself web surfing instead of going to the gym, or doing homework).
There are things out there to be seen, backroads to be driven, and trails to be hiked. I tell everyone I know that I'm an outdoorsman, and I only feel alive while backpacking, so then , why am I not out where I live?
Additionally, being less dedicated to the high-and-mighty interwebz would also close doors for other temptations to continue to drag me down. Essentially, I think of it as a chance to make a necessary sacrifice for the better, that freeing up time away from my computer will force me to take my passions and faith a little more seriously.
