Slick Rock Poker Run

The Joaquin jeepers & South County Trail Riders are holding a Poker Run on the Slick Rock Trail. The Proceeds benefit the Calaveras County Search & Rescue. The Calaveras County County S&R supports Search and Rescue efforts in the surrounding forests as well. The event will be held on July 14, 2007 45 miles east of Angels Camp, CA on Hwy 4. approximatley how far is this event from the SF Bay Area?

From San Jose, it is about 190 miles. 680 to Dublin/Pleasanton, 580 through Tracy to HWY 5 north, immediated exit onto 120 east to HWY 99 North, Exit on HWY 4 east through Angels Camp and then up the hill to almost Bear Valley Ski area. Should take about 4 hours depending upon traffic, etc. You can call me 408-395-2891 and I can get more infor for you.

I saw you other post. Deer Valley/Blue lake Trails is about 20 miles further up the road past Alpine Lake before you start the winding road to the summit. As the reply to your post said that trail entrance probably is not for stock vehicles as there is a pretty good rock pile at the very beginning and a fairly steep climb after that.
