Rather than dredging up an old thread (there are a few and I'm more inclined to search/lurk than post so I did read them before posting), I just wanted to comment on the installation of the headlight and aux. light wiring harnesses.
1.
it was an easy install.
Clear instructions, plug n' play, great follow on support.
2. it was a
job.
I chose to make it harder than necessary because I'm OCD and wanted to route the upgrade harnesses with the factory harness, but the harnesses themselves, being plug n' play, were simple and straightforward. FWIW, I bought the headlight upgrade and two aux light harnesses, so that I could run one set of off road lights with the high beams, and a set of fog/driving lights with the low/high beams. I wired the off road lights over the weekend, and routed both harnesses so the driving light install would be quick and simple when I get around to that project.
3. I really like the finished product.
I bought the OEM fog light switches at the same time, and having color-coded wires and a preconfigured harness made the switch install much simpler. I also like the look in the dash. Both fog light switches are to the left of the steering wheel, side by side in the top positions, with the rheostat now closest to the window and mirror adjuster in its original location. The switches are backlit and in circuit with the dash lights in the truck; I did replace the bulbs in the OEM switches with brighter dash bulbs from CDan (thanks Dan!).
So guys, great job on the harnesses and the follow on support, I look forward to buying more great products in the future.
Thanks,
