Tried to mount my new hi-lift jack onto the Slee bumper today, no go. The diameter of the hi-lift is too large to go between the bolt and the tire mount. I can get a nut onto the bolt with about 1 full revolution, obviously no type of bracket (not even a washer) will fit. Suggestions?

I tried adjusting the height of the jack, no help there.

Not sure if the provided bolt is welded in place (I think it is). I would need to pull the spare off to check.

The regular hi-lift has issues. Try the "Extreme"...

The lift in the OP's pics looks exactly like the model I have. I got mine off of Amazon. I had a hard time getting the bottom to fit into the "cradle" on the Slee bumper. I kinda had to wiggle it in to make it fit. Could that be the problem? I can get at least 7 threads on the bolt through the jack.

I had a problem with the base as well…nothing that a grinder couldn't take care of though!

From the looks of the photo the foot seems to be rotated 180 degrees. Also, we have had some cases where the tollerances between the stud and the round tubing was a little tight for some hi-lifts. We have since changed the design of the upper mount to prevent that. If it still does not want to seat, you might have to flatten the handle a little in a press or vice to get it too fit.

Found this thread while trying to figure out why the base of my newly rebuilt hi-lift would not fit in the mount. Figured I'd add a few things I found out

Apparently there are 2 major differences in the bases(not including the "First Responder" model) Stamped and Cast. I'm going to venture a guess that the Slee bracket was designed around the Cast jack plate. The cast model is actually the premium model, as I understand it.

Nonetheless, after a moderate amount of grinding on the stamped jack base plate(as indicated above) it will fit.
