Slee front skid plate install

Am installing a Slee front skid plate but don't yet have the belly plate or intermediate guard. Is anyone running just a front plate and did you end up removing the stock plastic intermediate 'guard' to get the proper fit? Seems like if I leave that on the front skid won't sit right since it overlaps with the stock plastic by about 10". Any thoughts?

Yes, I removed the plastic immediate guard. I couldn't get it to fit properly until this was removed.

Yeah, I just pulled mine. Fits well and now and all the access ports line up. Looks naked under there now...but it sure was easy to grease my front driveshaft!
