I didn't really have this in mind until minutes before I posted haha. Partial refund on the way.

These don't cross over to the HZ, correct?

@chapel gate @SteveJackson well, then take my money! Thanks for the confirmation... Will do some research on the difference (will be for a turboed HZ - need two sets) so advice appreciated.

ACL was always the go-to for many of the Aussies facing the BEB issues years ago. ACL is still good, they are an Australian company with manufacturing in China. They seem to do just fine for those that use them. I prefer the Taiho's, Japanese designed and manufactured. About five years ago I did a deep dive on it, and although I don't remember all the technical details, the Taiho tri-metal bearings won out. We stock both but use the Taiho's in the trucks we sell. Happy to supply either! Send me a pm and I'll send you a total.

Do you know if the boltss must be replaced or can they be reused?

Per the FSM, they can be reused if they are within spec. I have coffee cans full of used ones. I only put new ones in because a few bucks in bolts is cheaper than getting a replacement 1hdt.

I'd sleep easier if the same analogy was applied to preference given to the Japanese manufactured over the Chinese manufactured BEBs :)

No doubt. We only use the Taiho bearings in the shop, just offer the ACL bearings because they've been a popular option for so many years.
