So it goes without saying that protection for the transfer case is vital. I'd like the opinion of the board in asking would you go for a skid plate that just covers the T-case as the slee skid plate does, or is it worth the time and effort to fabricate a skid plate that goes across the whole belly of the rig?

Is the additional protection necessary seeing as there is a stock skid plate on the driver side even though it is a skimpy one?

any and all comments and thoughts are welcome.

I"ve seen George's and it seems his is aimed more towards having that air tank mounted in that open area, although it does look real beefy.

Beefy hell I've seen cross members that don't look that strong. That gives me some good ideas.

I don't think your gonna break Slee's IMHO.

you may want to look at the Ironpigoffroad.com unit as it replaces the crossmember, gives it a little more ground clearance and beefy

Definitely no worried about breaking Slee's no way that think will break. I am just looking into the added protection. Slee's plate damn near indestructable.

Koffer, I'll check out IronPig, thanks for the tip.
