Happy Roman New Year from Singapore (Chinese New Year is Feb. 3rd). Here are some Toyotas and 4x4’s from Singapore. Unfortunately I have not seen too much in the way of 4x4 Toyotas. I think there are two reasons for this:
1. Singapore is a big city like Manhattan. I’ve seen more Ferraris and Lamborghinis in the past 3 weeks than I’ve seen in my life.
2. The high cost of the car. If you think $75K for a new Land Cruiser is nuts you will be shocked by the cost of a car here. What can you get for $80K in Singapore? How about a Camry? Here is the breakdown:
Base car Price=$30K
Tax 110%=$33K
Title of Ownership=$10K (they limit the number of cars in the city with this)
Registration=$10K if you want to drive into the city center any day of the week, $5K if you only drive in on the weekends.
Total=$78-83K
Here is a cool little Suziki Jimny.

Here is one of those other "Land" trucks. The guy that owned it was pretty cool. The inside of the turck is full of model air planes. I love the CNG sticker, all this time I thought CNG was Compressed Natural Gas, I guess I was wrong:meh:

Here is a Toyota Rush. It looks like a Rav4 got an XB drunk and had its way with it.

Great pics - I always have loved seeing overseas vehicles. That Toyota Rush is interesting never heard of one...

Stay out of trouble over there :rolleyes:

No kidding, they give canings over here. They arrested some human smugglers and they got 20 years, $2M fine, and 30 wacks with the stick!:clap: You even get a couple of cracks for unpaid parking tickets:eek:
