Signal Light Help Please

Hi guys

I just recently bought an '83 BJ60 with lots of little gremlins (i.e. dimmer switch, glow system, ignition switch). I figured out all the other problems and remedied them, and i thought i was golden, but when i went for a quick drive, the signal lights had stopped working. they were working perfectly until the other day, when they suddenly stopped working. The hazard lights work perfectly. The fuse is good. I checked the continuity in the switch and it seems to work. I have not been able to figure out whats wrong for the life of me. I have had the switch apart as well and it all looks fine (i suppose it may have been in taking it apart that i screwed something up but i dont think so). I think i can rule out the turn signal flasher being faulty because the hazards still flash fine right? The signal relay should also be fine as well, no? I dont have the right year FSM or wiring diagram so im not quite sure what wires should have power to but id imagine the switch works the same way and the continuity test is still valid. We'll hopefully you folks have some advice. please keep it fairly simple, as im not all that good with electrical stuff. pictures would be killer. thanks

Switch may look fine, but most likely the contacts are worn out. I went through this myself a few months ago. Took the switch apart, tried to make adjustments and worked for a few minutes. Got a used one from Yota Yard out of Denver.

thanks, i could see that being a possibility, but it did just go from working fine with no history of problems that the PO knew of, to right out. Im hoping its something else, ill just keep diggin into it.

Oh, do i feel like a fool. It was the fuse. I had checked it and there was no resistance, but never bothered to actually change it just incase. so, in short, i feel dumb but am happy that my signal lights work again. hooray
