I just saw these on Amazon and have always wondered just how practical they are, and I'm only asking regarding our GX's not any other make or model vehicles because I know each vehicle will have it own wind dynamics which these may work or may not.

  1. Do they actually help reduce wind noise when the window is down, specifically on our GX460's?
  2. Do they actually keep rain from dripping in while driving with the window down a couple of inches?
  3. Are there different kinds, that one type/brand may be better than another?
  4. Anything else positive about them??

I used to run Weathertech but always ran into issues with them interfering with the window because they were an in-channel mount. I recently installed a set of Well visors for the GX and have nothing but good things to say about them. I was skeptical at first of their tape-on with a metal clip installation. Ive run my vehicle up and down the interstate and gone through automatic car washes with zero fault. They are a wider design with more coverage and totally functional. I can drive in inclement weather with the window cracked with zero intrusion. In my opinion they are much "cooler" looking as well esthetically. They remind of a JDM style visor. Hopefully this helps.

I ordered my Well visor today. They sell them on Amazon so transaction was super easy. I figure I would get good use out of it in the summer. But yes, automatic carwashes is one of my criteria for anything I put on my car. It has to be sturdy!

I'm assuming this is the product?

My GX came with some in-channel mounted deflectors. The mount doesn't seem ideal. I assume they mess with the windows, but everything still seals and I haven't had a problem that made me want to remove them. They're awesome for being able to crack the windows on the highway in the pouring rain. No water infiltration and less wind noise with the window open less than the height of the deflector.

I'd recommend them generally, not sure about the style I have specifically.

I use the Weather Tech. They are very low profile and work great. It will be necessary to recalibrate the window motor to get the windows to auto-close.
Now I need to figure a way to divert the rainwater from my RTT away from my door.

Don't understand why your windows won't auto close with the clips from your visors?
All four windows or just one or two?

I have a set installed on mine that are very low profile. I have not done any specific testing with them, but they have held up and on well. They allow the windows to be cracked in the rain which was my purpose for them. The brand/model I have is: Tuningpros WD2-847.

I also have Well window visors on my GX (470), and am completely satisfied with them. Sturdy, work well, look good.
I know some people only use the adhesive to mount, but I’d suggest taking the few extra minutes and using the supplied metal clips as well.
These have stood up perfectly to thousands of miles of freeway, and multiple automatic car washes.

I ordered the visor from Wells on Amazon and waiting for it to arrive. It seemed like it was gray or transparent color from the photos and I didn't see an option to change the colors... Are they all black visors or one of the other colors mentioned? I couldn't find it in the descriptions...
